Storypro Workshops & Seminars
Deborah offers a vast vocabulary of exercises and techniques for using storytelling in the workplace. Every group will bring different objectives, goals and concerns. Deborah works with each organization to ensure that her sessions meet their specific needs. Some of her workshops are listed here for your consideration.
Pathways To Telling Stories
In an informal and trusting atmosphere, participants are invited to try storytelling exercises. They discover that we all have worthwhile stories to share and that listening in itself is a valuable skill to have.
Making Contact
Participants are led through activities and games that help focus the communication skills of the teller. They learn how to use the voice effectively, how to stand, when to move and when not move, and how to reach all The Listeners In An Audience.
Emotional Literacy
Too often people have difficulty in understanding how and why they react emotionally to certain situations. Through storytelling the participants discover how to identify feelings and how to handle anger, grief and other hurtful emotions.
No Place For Bullies
Bullying happens everywhere. Through storytelling the participants are able to voice frustrations and concerns and make positive choices for dealing with offensive behaviours.
Story Stepping Stones
Participants discover that we all have personal triumphs, failures and awakenings to share. By developing our own stories and listening to others we are creating a set of stepping stones to building empathy, compassion and well being.
Seeing And Believing
Participants explore visualization techniques so that stories transcend memorization. Seeing the characters, the surroundings and the action of the story make it come alive for the teller and the listener.
